Nicotroll New Member French - Canada. I'd go for ''Pitoyable'' as well. But being "fleur bleue" doesn't automatically imply being "sad and pathetic" - they may be associated or not. As for "nunuche", which is a bit colloquial in french, it rather means "a bit stupid" they say "bird-brained" here, that sounds OK to me , plus a bit affected. To me none of those can be OK here, with not further specified context.
By the way, archijacq, "tu es" doesn't end with a "t" - always an "s" with the singular second person. But the word 'sap', in the way she used it was not meant to mean sad and pathetic. Sap can mean other things in other contexts, but in this case I really think the person wants to convey the meaning I described above.
Oh, OK then. As I came here initially to know the meaning of "sap", I took at face value that it meant "sad and pathetic" which is an easy mnemonic way to remember it, by the way , hence my replies - and I think it may fit here as well as your understanding. Anyway this discussion has been useful, since I and other people coming later have learnt it could have other meanings Thanks mcdonald!
