For example, all we wondered that why there's no actual link between canon events and the beginning of the Itachi Shinden in anime, yet according to this theory it's possible that Sasuke is recalling Itachi's life via his eyes.

I think it was the terrible things Itachi saw being burned into those eyes. You can ask Seelantau to be certain, but I'm pretty sure it was about Sasuke declaring his intention to burn these images of terrible things he was about to carry out into his brother's eyes, in spite of their differing viewpoints.

Given how close they are, it's surprising that Kakashi doesn't utilize more of the taijutsu master's abilities. One video game even realizes this, allowing Kakashi to use the move in it. It would have been cool to see the pair use it together against a foe. As with Dynamic Entry and many other taijutsu attacks, there isn't anything flashy about Leaf Whirlwind.
