How many sweaters do i need

In this cultural era of many-problems-few-resolutions, reading a good mystery can be a refreshing break. Our year old daughter is the most avid, prolific reader I know! We teamed up to create a list of mysteries for all ages of independent readers. The recos below are listed with increasing age levels in mind, but no specific age parameters as a mature, well-read, near-teen, she has read up to Agatha Christie on this list. Last week, I, too, had enough.

I figured it would be way easier to be bold as a kind of an experiment, without fear that our decisions were irreversible] Scarves. Why do I try to be an indoor scarf person? I am not an indoor scarf person.

Intentionally ripped jeans whose rips got out of control. Too many sweaters, too many t-shirts, too many jeans. Anything ill-fitting. Tricky after post-baby years of fluctuation, but I needed to be a big girl and take them out of the equation. Clothes that I love, but are damaged. Something is off. The hem needs adjusting, the pants are a hair too short, or, my corduroys that are the same colour as my lighter-weather coat and leather boots.

I always felt awkward going outside head-to-toe in tan, like I was trying to camouflage! And if it has already been a year or two since I wore it. I lived for many years as the Dream Friend for people who wanted to clean out their homes. Give it to Dana. Replaced your curtains? Give the old ones to Dana.

But as their homes cleared out, mine became more and more cluttered. I used to keep hand-me-downs out of guilt. My friend had entrusted me with something that she wanted to have a good home!

I only have room and mental energy for the things that I love and can use in my home. Love these tips, Dana!! We are working on decluttering our house! Though we have been married 24 years and have tons!!!! Been purging the house recently, only one more room to go. The basement storage will have to wait till spring. BUT it is all on hold as I try to finish painting the outside of my home. Have you seen that meme that says something about looking at the last few loads of laundry and considering just throwing them away?

According to the EPA , If your clothing isn't in good enough condition to donate, organizations like The American Textile Recycling Service will recycle them. I'm expanding here, but if you haven't worn it in years it is highly unlikely you are going to wear it again.

Until you donate it, and then a week later come up with the perfect outfit if only you had that top. Just kidding. Don't think like that. You will survive without the going out top you haven't worn since Got a favorite item that's getting hole-y and raggedy? It may be time for an upgrade. This is a question where if you answer in the affirmative you get to shop.

I am very guilty of buying things that are very similar to items I already have. I know what I like. But really, no one needs four gray sweaters. If you answer in the affirmative you do not get to shop. If not, could it be altered? If an item doesn't fit right, you're probably just going to feel uncomfortable wearing it and it will sit in your closet, untouched, until the next time you decide to pare down your wardrobe.
